Top Golf Grip Tips You Must Follow

In every golf instruction offered in golf training camps, golf grip is mentioned a lot. But only a few discuss about the golf grip tips as why it is required to have proper golf tips. But the truth is that golf tips are very much necessary to get into the right position of golf impact with just a little manipulation of the club. The experts like University of Alabama women’s golf camp know it.

Importance of The Golf Grip Tips

Everybody, who play golf in the Alabama women’s golf club or somewhere else strive for some basic things in the natural grip. The swing needs to be continuous and fluid from the very moment while one lines the ball up to the end of the follow through and the club head requires to hit the back of ball with one strong swing, but at the same time, it is necessary to adjust the grip to avoid the club getting slipped from the hands.

So, do you know the ways to achieve the right balance? Here are some of the tips offered by the Auburn University Women's Golf Camp for Youth:
  1. Gripping the golf club with left hand: Place the club in the left-hand fingers. The club grip should run from the middle of index finger to the base of little finger. Then grip the club just half an inch from the end. This will improve the club control as well as the ball striking ability without losing power. If you look down the left hand, there would be 2½ knuckles visible. This is counted on as a neutral position. The “V” position created with the forefinger and thumb must point to the right shoulder.
  2. Gripping the golf club with right hand: Directly place the fleshy pad of the right thumb on top of the left thumb. The “V” position created between the forefinger and right thumb must point to chin. In case the V points over your left shoulder, then your right hand will be in really weak position. But in case the V points over your right shoulder, then your right hand will be in really strong position.
